As a former Director and current Shareholder of Smart Web Company plc (SWC), a UK-based Bitcoin treasury company listed on the Aquis Stock Exchange, I contributed to its early strategic direction. SWC holds approximately £200 million in Bitcoin as part of its innovative treasury strategy, pioneering the adoption of digital assets in corporate finance.
As Founder, CEO, and Executive Chairman of FairFX plc (now Equals Group plc), I led the company from its inception in 2007 to its successful IPO on the AIM market in 2014, establishing it as a leading fintech payments provider. Under my leadership, FairFX developed innovative payment platforms, including prepaid currency cards and international money transfers, transforming cross-border payments for individuals and businesses. The company, rebranded as Equals Group in 2019, was acquired in December 2024 for £283 million by a consortium led by Alakazam Holdings BidCo Limited, marking a significant milestone in its journey to becoming one of the UK’s top cross-border payment providers.
